Everything we do

What we do

Six things, all of them from the same yard and mostly with the same crews. Nothing here is subcontracted out and then presented as ours.

01

House removals

Whole households across UB6.

Interwar semis and terraces with driveways, ex-council houses around the Broadway, and the larger family homes towards Perivale and the Sudbury Hill edge. Priced on measured volume rather than a bedroom count, because the loft, the garage and the shed do not show on a floor plan and they are all coming.

Flats and maisonettes

The Greenford staple, and its own kind of job.

Most Greenford maisonettes put an external stair between the van and the front door, frequently with a shared landing and a gate below — everything is carried outside before it is carried inside. We ask whether the stair is internal or external, how tight its turn is, and where the vehicle can stand, before anything is priced.

03

Man and van

The small end, booked by the job.

A room, a studio, a storage unit emptied, a marketplace collection, or one heavy item that will not go in a car. Same crews and the same protection, smaller vehicle. If what you describe is really a removal we will say so before you book rather than at ten in the morning.

04

Storage

Containerised, not a unit you rent.

Goods are wrapped as if for transit, listed on an inventory you keep a copy of, and sealed into timber containers racked indoors. One handling at each end rather than a shuffle between units, with collection and redelivery quoted as part of the move.

Packing and careful handling

Full, part, or fragile-only.

Priced separately so you can take as much or as little as you want. The usual split is that you do the books, the clothes and the garage and we do the kitchen, the glass and the pictures. Veneer, marble tops, large mirrors and framed work get cases rather than blankets. Materials go when we go.

European removals

France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Out on Western Avenue to the M40, or round the M25 to the Kent crossings. The customs file is built from the same survey inventory that priced the move, which is why the paperwork does not become a separate scramble three weeks later.

How a quote is built

Four things move the number: how much is going, the access at both ends, how much packing you want done, and how far it travels. Not the season, not how urgent it sounds, not what somebody else quoted.

That also makes quotes comparable. If you are weighing us against another firm, check both have measured the same volume and assume the same packing depth — most of the difference between two prices lives there.

Unsure which you need? Describe it on the quote form. Questions covers what comes up next, and coverage shows where we work.
